What is the difference between Clip and Flow?

Written by Jules Plantec

SnapCall Flow and SnapCall Clip are closely connected, but they do not refer to the same part of the customer experience.

A Flow is the full customer journey. It defines the experience the customer follows when they are asked to provide information, answer questions, or submit media.

A Clip is the media capture element inside the Flow. It represents the media collected during that journey, such as a photo, video, document, or screen recording.

In other words:

Flow = the complete customer journey

Clip = the media captured within that journey

For example, a Flow can guide a customer through several steps:

Step 1: Take a photo of the damaged product

Step 2: Upload a purchase document

Step 3: Record a short video showing the issue

Each media capture step creates a Clip inside the Flow.

The Flow organizes the overall experience, while Clips represent the media submitted by the customer during that experience.

Summary

A Flow is the full experience sent to the customer.

A Clip is the media capture element inside the Flow.

In short: the Flow guides the customer through the journey, and Clips are the media collected along the way.
