A full match happens when the uploaded image is exactly identical to another image found online or in a database while a partial match occurs when only a part of the uploaded image corresponds to a detected image online or in a database.

Examples of Full Matches:

  • A customer uploads a stock photo, and the same unmodified image is found being used elsewhere online.

  • A digital marketer uses an exact copy of a stock photo on a website without making any edits.

When a full match will be detected, this will show in the media viewer as below.

Examples of Partial Matches:

  • A user uploads a graphic design that includes a cropped section of a stock photo as its background.

  • An edited photo contains a stock image blended with other elements, and the stock image portion is detected online.
